Remote Services Repair Options!
With our NEW Remote Services option, it may be possible to not only diagnose your
computer from the comfort and convienence of your home or office,
but we may also be able to repair it without having to bring
it into one of our locations for repair! Save time and Money!
Lets get Started!
Please follow these helpful
Instructions:
Go to the following WEB
Site:
http://www.whatismyip.com/
Write down your IP Address
and let the technician know this address when he is on the phone
with you.
** NOW **
Click here on the green
Remote Services button to download the
Remote Services Tool
to your computer!
The following window will
open after clicking the Green ASC Remote Services Button.
Click "RUN"
Ant then "RUN"
again if promped...
Click "NEXT"
to install the Program
Agree to the terms of Use
Make sure only the TightVNC
Server is checked
Clear the Check in other
boxes
Click "NEXT"
Choose "NEXT"
Again
Check only the "Add
exception" box at the bottom.
Click "NEXT"
Again
Click "Finish"
Click "START"
Then "TightVNC"
Then "TightVNC Server
(Application Mode)"
Then "RUN TightVNC
Server"
This ICON should appear
in the Task manager at the right Bottom of your screen.
Click it once and the following
window will open:
Click on Primary Password
"SET"
Key in a password to use
(8 characters max)
Key it again in the Re-type
Box.
Then inform the Technician
this is complete.
If this window firewall
pops up, Click "UnBlock" to allow access for TightVNC
Enter the password given
to you by the ACS Technician or one of your choosing
in the boxes..."Primary"
and "View Only"
Then Click "Apply"
The ACS Tech may give you
this password if you wish.
Once executed, the following
icon will appear in the TASK Tray in Windows.
When you call for Remote
Technical Support, give the Technician the
IP Number and the Password you assigned, the Technician will
need this
information to connect to to your computer.
Your IP Number should stay
consistant unless you have to reinstall the application, or you
need support on a different PC or Mac.
Each time you call for assistance
give the password and IP Number to the technician.
When the technician has
completed your remote service
you should close the Remote Application Program.
Leave the program on your
desktop in order to use it whenever
you want to allow ACS to log into your computer and help you
with your computer related problems.
